TV on the Radio Kick Off European Fall Tour

Nick Patch & Ryan Schreiber report:
In spite of their already ambitious plans to embark on a gigantic North American tour in October alongside The Faint, bespectacled Brooklynites TV on the Radio have now crammed in an entire additional European tour as well, wives and children be damned. Having just kicked off the explosive autumnal marathon touring session last Friday at Edinburgh's T in the Park, the 22-date Eurotrek will find the band exploring such outrageous destinations as England, Germany, Belgium, France, Germany, Holland, Germany, Sweden, Norway, Germany, England, and France, in that exact order.

Naturally, the tour comes in support of their debut full-length, Desperate Youth, Blood Thirsty Babes, but just as important is the promotion of their forthcoming new single, "New Health Rock", due October 12th. It will be issued via 4AD in the UK, and through Touch & Go in North America. As previously reported, the single features a brand new song (titled, yes, "New Health Rock"), as well as a cover of the Yeah Yeah Yeahs' "Modern Romance".

Additionally, the band recently released one other single, for "Staring at the Sun", which was backed by two tracks originally available only on their never-released (but presently circulating on certain file-sharing networks named Soulseek) 18-track demo recording, OK Calculator. Double-additionally, TV on the Radio vocalist Tunde Adebimpe has released a brand new song titled "Skocks" on the new Chicago-based indie upstart Mission Label's debut compilation, Demons and Rare Meat. The comp also features previously unreleased traxx from The Dirty Projectors, Schneider TM & kptmichigan, Okkervil River, Watchers, Frenemies, and others.

Anyway, as we were saying about the tour: We have it on good authority that their brand of slickly grimy art-rock can bring a fookin' club to its blood-starved knees, so attend in droves. The whole dates:
