Pitchfork: Elf Power Embarks on U.S. Tour

Back in April, Elephant 6 second-wavers Elf Power released their seventh full-length, Walking with the Begger Boys. And now, after one go-round earlier this year, they're back on the road supporting the record through November. Circulatory System's John Fernandes is sitting in on the tour for band member Laura Carter, who is taking some time off as her house was hit by a tree in a recent storm. "It's a real smokin' set," says Fernandes, citing that frontman Andrew Rieger is "playing 12-string on some songs, and we get into some real rockin' early Fairport Convention type sounds." In tow will be The Late B.P. Helium, side project of Elf Power bassist Brian Poole. Dates:
