Mission of Burma Release Eight-Song iTunes EP

And what will you do with the rest of your Election Day, once you've diligently performed your civic duty and written in Paul Martin for president? We politely suggest reaching for your (metaphorical) revolver! Mission of Burma, already flush from a fabulous year of revived activity surrounding their excellent new Matador release, OnOffOn (and the cooly-received-by-the-band Rykodisc best-of comp A Gun to the Head), is jumping on the iTunes gravy train. The exclusive EP Snapshot-- a live set culled from a small-audience session at Boston's Q Division Studios-- debuts on the Apple outpost Tuesday, November 2nd. You'll get MoB tracks old and new, and a cover of The Wipers' "Youth of America" besides. Tracklist:

Tremelo
Mica
Youth Of America
Absent Mind
Red
That's How I Escaped My Certain Fate
Max Ernst
Dirt

Should you find the digital Burma insufficiently intimate, 2004 tour dates remain for these dudes, but they're opening for some no-name chumps called the Pixies, so you'll probably have to slog through them, too. Dates:

-30 Amherst, MA - Mullins Center
-01 Lowell, MA - Tsongas Arena
-02 Lowell, MA - Tsongas Arena
-13 New York, NY - Hammerstein Ballroom
