The Kills and Blanche Hit the Road

Fresh from big-shot opening gigs with Franz Ferdinand and Wilco, the morbid Motor City gothica purveyors known as Blanche (and that's gothica as in Nick Cave, not Halle Berry) will set out for a mini-tour with theatrically pissed-off garage rockers The Kills later this week. Blanche signed with V2 Records early this year; the label re-released the band's bizarre and not insignificantly creepy debut, If We Can't Trust the Doctors..., in September. So let's hope for some onstage collaboration, 'cause the peppy Kills tune "Fuck the People" would sound great with banjo accompaniment. Dates:
