French Kicks to Play West Coast, NYC, Boston


British fans of vaguely psychedelic, mildly electronic, guitar-and-harmony rock were cruelly deprived of the chance to see The French Kicks back in November, when Anthony Roman of tourmates Radio 4 was hit by a unspecified "physical ailment." The tour was nixed on orders of Roman's doctor, but this month Kicks enthusiasts on America's West Coast will see what their British cousins missed as the Brooklyn quartet plugs Trial of the Century, its 2004 album on StarTime. The title track is out now as the second single and video from the album.

The newly rechristened Dios Malos are also pencilled in for the Seattle-to-LA road trip. They've endured the wrath of Ronnie James Dio and his lawyers, so they must be of stout heart. But if any of them come down with anything and miss the tour, can we officially announce a "French Kicks curse"? Give it a try:
