Pitchfork: Mates of State Hit the Road

Mates of State like it busy. Over the course of the band's 5-year career, they've released three full-length albums and a couple 7"'s, as well as an EP-- All Day-- and a DVD-- Two Of Us-- both released last November via Polyvinyl. Of course, that career has also included lots of touring, and 2005 will be no exception-- the duo is getting ready to take to the road in February.

Although a European tour is slated for later this year, the current agenda is the Western U.S.-- and Texas! Starting with the Lone Star State (which you should definitely not mess with), the band will move westward, headline one night of the Bay Area's annual Noise Pop Festival, and then head north through Washington state and conclude in British Columbia. In addition, the band is reportedly working on a new album, and will be previewing songs on the tour. The dates:
