Interpol Add March Dates, Q and Not U to Tour Itinerary

You've probably heard the rumors that have been flitting around for the past year or so, about the much anticipated John Oates-Zach de la Rocha collaboration. Unfortunately for suburban rap-metal fans and purveyors of blue-eyed soul, 2005 ain't gonna be the year, after members of Oates' posse reportedly maced de la Rocha in the bathroom of a Bennigan's in North Carolina. We kid, of course (John Oates doesn't have a posse!), but the next-best unlikely pairing is all systems go: Dischord's post-punk cum disco-rockers Q and Not U will be joining Interpol for a short leg of its spring tour through the Midwest and along the West Coast.

As previously reported, Interpol is already on the road with Blonde Redhead, and will be heading to Europe in April, but the tour schedule has recently been filled out (Interpol is not fond of downtime) with the new March dates. This is very good news for Q and Not U, who recently returned home from a transcontinental tour. The band's popularity-- which is already higher than ever after the release of Power, its third full-length for Dischord-- is sure to get a boost from this extravangaza. At least, that's what happened with the Cure.

As for Interpol, they're doing just fine, thank you. The band's sophomore release, Antics, continues to impress and mesmerize everyone from us here at the Fork to the 90210 gang hanging out at the Peach Pit (probably). Pick a date and go already:
