Nine Inch Nails Prep First Tour in Five Years

Say what you will about Trent Reznor's release-date pushing perfectionism; when the man is ready to share, he comes on like our very own misery-stricken St. Nick. Yes, Reznor and crew have recently announced plans to pack up the Nine Inch Nails Mystery Machine and embark on an a massive world tour in support of the forthcoming LP With Teeth. This will be the outfit's first full tour since 2000's trek in support of the ever-so-concept album, The Fragile, and the expanded dates should make it ever-so-much more likely that you'll be able to get tickets.

The roster of shows currently includes 26 North American dates, which, for a Nine Inch Nails-style mega tour, kind of sounds like a healthy number. However, before you dust off the vinyl pants and get ready to emote, there's a catch-- the Nails are playing two consecutive shows in nearly every city they visit in the U.S. and Canada. So it's actually more like a scant 16 cities, although the band's official website does promise more dates to be announced in the coming weeks, in addition to dates in Japan. Anyhoo, the current lineup looks like this:

The first single "The Hand That Feeds" is expected to hit radio in the preceding weeks, with details on a CD release yet to be confirmed.
