Pitchfork: Xiu Xiu Reveals Plans for Upcoming LP

According to Xiu Xiu's website, the band's new album is finished and will come out a month before originally planned, which sure compares favorably to the list of things we've accomplished since January (Item #1: "Lambaste Weezer"). La Foret is "in the can," slated for a July 12 release on 5 Rue Christine and Acuarela. A running order posted two months ago no longer graces xiuxiu.org, but we'll reprint it on the theory that (hopefully substantial) parts of it must still be accurate:

Shortly thereafter, sometime in August, Asian Man Records will unleash Caralee Just Sold Her Plasma to Pay Off Asmodeus, a compilation of old recordings by Jamie Stewart and Cory McCullough's pre-Xiu Xiu band Ten in the Swear Jar. Asian Man tell us it will contain songs from prior album My Very Private Map, as well as additional tracks from singles and whatnot, while Xiu Xiu's website claims it will compile "all three Ten in the Swear Jar EPs." No tracklist exists yet, but the disc is being compiled by Stewart himself.

As we previously reported, Xiu Xiu also have a whole bunch of touring to do in March, with some summer dates way down the road already nailed down as well. Listen carefully, as some options may have changed:
