Dizzee Pinched for Carrying Pepper Spray

And you thought the United States had trouble with the right to bear arms. According to our friends at the BBC, British grimesta rapper Dizzee Rascal, 20, was arrested in Wast London on Wednesday, allegedly for possession of pepper spray. Perhaps he was just trying to fend off the throngs of teenage girls caught up in all the Rascalmania, but in England, pepper spray is classified as a "section five firearm." The grime star, born Dylan Mills, was the passenger in a car that was pulled over by police when the offending item was discovered. His driver, an unidentified 34-year-old man, was also in possession of pepper spray, as well as an "ASP baton" and an unspecified amount of marijuana. Both men were taken into custody and subsequently released on bail pending a court hearing on April 8. The car had three other passengers who were released after a search revealed nothing.

Dizzee Rascal is scheduled to appear at the Lo-Fi Cafe in Salt Lake City on that date. As of yet there has been no word on what will need to be rescheduled: the show or the court date. Something tells me you folks in Utah might not want to pay over face value for your tickets just yet. Some celebrities seem to be above the law, but Dizzee hasn't gone platinum enough times.
