Scour Niblett to Tour Albini-Produced LP

The voice? Strong, sultry. The name? Absolutely adorable. Emma Louise Niblett, better known as Scout, has a new album and a tour of North America coming up this spring. The Nottingham native will release her third full-length Kidnapped By Neptune May 10 on Too Pure.

According to Niblett's label, the new album was recorded by Steve Albini at his Electrical Audio studio in Chicago, and noted indie musicians Chris Saligoe (guitar, bass) and Jason Kourkounis (drums) stopped by to lend a hand. Too Pure recently added Niblett to its U.S. roster after having released her previous two albums overseas.

This time round, Niblett's often freaky live shows will be enhanced by Bloc Party, the Kills, Ponys, and M. Ward to name a few. A UK tour will commence (along with fellow Brits Electrelane) following the release of Kidnapped By Neptune's the title track as a single on May 9.
