Pitchfork: Oasis Announce Details of New LP

Bloody fuckin' hell! After a three-year absence, Oasis are scheduled to release their sixth album, Don't Believe the Truth, on May 31. The single "Lyla" drops two weeks prior, on May 16, and according to songwriter Noel Gallagher, they're not finished pillaging the annals of British music. Straight from the foul mouth of the older brother: "It's the Who. 'Lyla' was specifically designed for pogoing."

First the Beatles and the Stones, now the Who? At their current rate of appropriation, we expect Oasis to start stealing riffs from (What's the Story) Morning Glory? sometime around the year 2046. Until then, you can go see them play music/start fights on their summer tour:
