Saint Etienne Prepare New Album

UK trio Saint Etienne are busily putting the final coat of polish on their latest LP, Tales From Turnpike House, which is currently set for a June 6 release in their native land. The album is filled with 12 new tracks-- including the first single, "Side Streets", which will be released on May 30. The disc also features the song "Relocate", which is blessed with the vocal stylings of 70s British icon David Essex. All saints:

Sun in My Morning
Milk Bottle Symphony
Lightning Strikes Twice
Slow Down at the Castle
Good Thing
Side Streets
Last Orders for Gary Stead
Stars Above Us
Relocate (w/ David Essex)
The Birdman of EC1
Teenage Winter
Goodnight

Tales From Turnpike House will be Saint Etienne's first studio release since 2002's Finisterre, and their eighth overall (for those keeping score on their abacus). A press release from the band kindly notes that the first few 1,000 pressings of the album will come with a bonus EP comprised of "parent friendly children's music." Said to include songs like "You Can Count on Me", the release refers to the extras as "a taster of an upcoming project." You know, for kids.
