Architecture in Helsinki Album Coming to the U.S.

We like to think of our friends as a pretty music-savvy bunch. Plus, by now they must be used to us saying random shit and having it turn out to be a band name or a Hella record or something. And yet, without exception, when we tell people we've recently gotten into Architecture in Helsinki, they look confused and say, "Since when are you interested in architecture?"

So we've been looking for something concrete to stop them from giving us Eero Saarinen books as birthday presents, and finally we're in luck: In Case We Die, the second album by the Australian octet, comes out April 12 on Bar/None Records. Tracklist:

01 Neverevereverdid
02 It'5!
03 Tiny Paintings
04 Wishbone
05 Maybe You Can Owe Me
06 Do the Whirlwind
07 In Case We Die (parts 1-4)
08 Cemetery
09 Frenchy, I'm Faking
10 Need to Shout
11 Rendezvous: Potrero Hill
12 What's in Store?

To further document the band's existence, we could point to iTunes, where American listeners have been able to buy "Do the Whirlwind" since March 8. In their homeland, Architecture in Helsinki have already moved on to the album's second advance single, "It'5!", which is streamable for free from their website. A three-continent tour of Australia, the U.S., and Europe (oh man, no Antarctica?) will follow this summer, or, as the band likes to call it, "winter."
