Just in case you haven't yet stumbled over the unkempt gents in By the End of Tonight (and shame on you for that, the Fork ran a review last week), we thought we'd offer up a mathmatical representation of their sound along with this bit of news: 0.3 self-aware prog + 0.4 unabashed emo + 0.05 metal + 0.25 sitting-indian-style post-rock x 1 frothy wake of the two-man noise unit revolution. If that sloppy equation sounds the least bit exciting, keep on reading, 'cause the boys of By the End of Tonight are actually in the middle of a tour, in support of their latest Temporary Residence offering, Tribute to Tigers. Sho nuff, after warming their engines up last week at SXSW, they'll be charging forward through the U.S. until May at the following dates:
