LCD Soundsystem and M.I.A. to Tour Together

I can't possibly give LCD Soundsystem and M.I.A. any more hype than they've already received. What's amazing, though, is that these two artists have caught fire with very few U.S. tour dates to their credit. But that's about to change-- and in grand fashion. M.I.A. will open for LCD Soundsystem in North America in May and June. Here's the schedule thus far:

04-02 New York, NY - Bowery Ballroom
05-10 Vancouver, BC - Commodore Ballroom*
05-11 Seattle, WA - Showbox*
05-14 San Francisco, CA - Fillmore*
05-15 Los Angeles, CA - El Rey*
05-19 Chicago, IL - Metro*
05-20 Detroit, MI - St. Andrew's Hall*
05-21 Toronto, Ontario - Opera House*
05-22 Montreal, Quebec - Le Tulipe*
06-09 Boston, MA - Avalon*
06-10 New York, NY - Webster Hall
06-11 Philadelphia, PA - Transit

In other DFA news, LCD Soundsystem and DFA head James Murphy did some spinning at the Winter Music Conference in Miami this past weekend. A post on the DFA website says, "For those of you [...] doing double takes, that WAS Puff Daddy, Timbaland, Marilyn Manson, and Kelly Osbourne. P. Diddy stood on top of the DJ booth and sang his new single 'Jack U' through a megaphone as Felix Da Housecat spun the instrumental. Truly weird. (the Kelly Osbourne part)." Crazy stuff. Also, in the slight break in touring between May and June, the DFA will be producing Gavin Russom & Delia's new album.
