Self-described bard Mia Doi Todd has given us all a month for her latest album, Manzanita, to marinate in our over-crowded heads before announcing plans to hit the road in support of said album. Canny marketing scheme, or scheduling necessity? Only her booking agent and record label and PR person and Todd and maybe her friends know for sure. After playing a couple of L.A. shows and making several festival stops in Europe, Todd will head back Stateside to support the Books on the West Coast leg of their first American tour. Anyone feeling slighted by the lack of geographic coverage should take it up with Ms. Todd; all we can do is report the facts. Or, occasionally, stuff we make up. Shows:
