Arcade Fire, Basement Jaxx to Play KCRW Festival

The summer festival season keeps growing and growing. According to a Billboard report, KCRW's World Music Festival will take place several times over the summer at the Hollywood Bowl. Keeping in tune with the station's solid programming, the festival looks to feature a host of good talent. KCRW's Nic Harcourt, host of "Morning Becomes Eclectic", will take on hosting duties for the opening event.

One of the highlights of the series will surely be seeing the Arcade Fire and David Byrne. Earlier this year, Byrne joined the Arcade Fire on stage in New York for a rousing rendition of the Talking Heads' "This Must Be The Place (Naive Melody)". The series will take place every few weeks and close on September 11, with an event called Destination Hawaii featuring an assortment of Hawaiian artists.

Here's the line-up thus far:
June 26: David Byrne; the Arcade Fire; Si*Sé; Extra Action Marching Band
July 17: Basement Jaxx; Röyksopp; Bossacucanova
July 24: Femi Kuti; Mos Def; Daara J
August 7: Yo-Yo Ma; Silk Road Ensemble
August 28: Black Uhuru; Maxi Priest; Desmond Dekker
