Odd Nosdam Album Out in May

Not everyone cheered at the cleaner new sound exhibited on Odd Nosdam's 2003 LP No More Wig for Ohio, but you might say the execution was responsible for any faults, and after all, this was Odd's first attempt outside of a Tascam cassette 8-track, right? If such were your thoughts, you'll get a clearer picture on May 24 when Anticon releases Odd Nosdam's latest album, entitled Burner. Press releases claim that the LP strikes "a rare harmony between his G4 and his trusty cassette 8-track, between precision and tape saturation...", so either he's sharpened his skills or Anticon really knows how to sell what the people want.

One change is clear: Odd Nosdam has abandoned relying entirely on his masterful cratedigging and sampling style, and has invited several vocalists and musicians on board this time out. Fellow Anticon members include Dosh, jel, Dax Pierson, and Josiah Wolf and Doug McDiarmid of WHY? (not to be confused with Odd's fellow cLOUDDEAD alum why?, who is himself a member of WHY?). And while those may be natural, vocalists like Mike Patton, Andrew Broder of Fog, and Jessica Bailiff leave more to the imagination, and even Mum's Orvar Smarason makes an appearance. Of course, not everything's changed: There are three untitled songs on the album, but this time they have numbers next to them! Tracklist:

02 Refreshing Beverage (w/ Dosh)
03 Smoke
04 Small Mr. Man Pants (w/ Andrew Broder and Orvar Smarason)
