Last year must have been exhausting for TV on the Radio. They released their excellent full-length Desperate Youth, Blood Thirsty Babes, won various music-related awards including the Shortlist Music Prize, and added new members. Then there was a full European tour, and a tour here in the U.S. with the Faint, which is super taxing in itself. Because, you know, the Faint like to party.

However, it hasn't slowed them down-- according to Touch & Go Records, TV on the Radio are hunkered down in the studio, fully immersed in recording the follow up to their smashing debut. How immersed? Well, we're not sure...they haven't provided any album details, but did say the following about their new material: "The songs are quite delicious...we will crash into the sun." So there's that. There's also no release date, nor a title, though Desperate Teens, Blood Thirsty Youth could work, if it wasn't such a bad joke.

Fans lucky enough to live in Brooklyn might get a taste of the new record at TV on the Radio's appearance tonight at REZONE THIS!, a show-slash-dance party to raise awareness of the city's plans to rezone Williamsburg and Greenpoint, thus making it harder for you to live there, trust fund or no:
