Raveonettes Set to Tour, Release New Album

Blending Buddy Holly songcraft with Lou Reed art-scuzz, the Raveonettes managed to add enough personality to their brand of Danish garage revival to become critical darlings in 2003, with the debut LP Chain Gang of Love/. Two years later, as previously reported, the band are mere weeks away from delivering their follow-up studio release, Pretty in Black, and launching a lengthy U.S. tour. And while we already gave you a long list of dates for the Raveonettes spring/summer outing in February, a recent press release has revealed additional dates for the ambitious trek. We're nothing if not thorough, so here's to a noisy summer:

The vamp-rock duo is releasing Pretty in Black on May 3, and their official website (which is plastered with spanking new artwork) is currently taking pre-orders for the 13-track disc.
