Roots Manuva Announces U.S. Dates

Roots Manuva, known as Rodney Smith to his (and probably your) mum, recently got all philosophical on our asses with his new LP Awfully Deep. A loooong time coming, considering his last album was 2001's Run Come Save Me, the disc is already out in the UK and Canada, and is slated for an April 19 stateside release.

To commemorate, Mister Manuva is packing up the fuzz bass and laser synths and heading out on a rare, brief North American clip. Seems Roots is going all...well, Roots on us, as he's touring with a five-piece band in addition to his usual digital arsenal. The timing works out pretty well actually, considering the first single off Awfully Deep, "Too Cold" was released Monday with remixes from Sa-Ra Creative Partners, the Go! Team, and Nightmares on Wax.
