Glastonbury 2005 Lineup Announced

Coachella and Bonnaroo are huge festivals. But they are not Glastonbury. According to the official Glastonbury website, "It's the largest greenfield music and performing arts festival in the world." Held annually since the 70s in the small village of Pilton, England, near Glastonbury, the festival will take place from Friday, June 24, to Sunday, June 26. Tickets sold out in just a few hours when they went on sale last week, so if you don't have them, well, sorry. Ready? Here we go:

Pyramid Stage: White Stripes, Coldplay, Kylie Minogue, the Killers, New Order, Doves, Elvis Costello, Brian Wilson, Van Morrison, the Zutons, the Coral, Ash, Kaiser Chiefs, Goldie Lookin' Chain, Jools Holland, the Thrills, John Butler Trio, the Undertones, the Subways, Taj Mahal, Hayseed Dixies, Garbage.

Other Stage: Razorlight, Kasabian, Ian Brown, Fatboy Slim, Röyksopp, Bloc Party, Interpol, Rufus Wainwright, the Bravery, Futureheads, Echo and the Bunnymen, Athlete, the Dears, Cooper Temple Clause, Hot Hot Heat, Soulwax, Cake, Thirteen Senses, Brendan Benson, Martha Wainwright, Tom Vek, BlackBud, Dead 60's, KT Tunstall, Modey, Lemon, Engineers, the Deadbeats.

John Peel Stage: The Tears, the Go! Team, Bright Eyes, the Earlies, Willy Mason, M.I.A., Secret Machines, M83, Your Code Name Is Milo, Maximo Park, Nine Black Alps, Jem, JamesBlunt, Dresden Dolls, the Subways, Be Your Own Pet, Rilo Kiley, the Rakes, Art Brut, Hard Fi, Longcut, Morning Runner, Infidels, Outset, El Presidente, the Mad Staring Eyes.

There are other stages: JazzWorld Stage, Acoustic Sage, Avalon Stage, G Stage, Croissant Neuf Stage, Dance Lounge Bar, Pussy Parlure, Roots Tent, and the East and West Coast Dance Tents. Highlights from those stages include: Chemical Brothers, Wiley, 808 State, Four Tet, Roy Ayers, Roots Manuva, Too Many DJs, G. Love, Femi Kuti, Zap Mama, Timo Maas, Alabama 3, Steve Earle, Layo & Bushwacka!, the Bug, Bugz in the Attic, Pitman, Steve Harley and the Cockney Rebel, the Beatiful South, Tori Amos, Ani DiFranco, I Am Kloot, the Proclaimers, Mylo, and Squarepusher. There will also be aerobics on Saturday.
