Pitchfork: Starflyer 59 to Tour U.S.

Starflyer 59 are quite simply a great band, or rather, a great one-man-band. Ringleader Jason Martin has been making albums since the early 90s, starting off with a heavily MBV-influenced eponymous debut. In the nine albums Martin has created since, he's resembled everyone from the Beach Boys to the Notwist, careening through simple pop tunes with soaring guitars and gorgeous melodies. And with the release of his latest LP on April 12, titled Talking Voice vs. Singing Voice, fate is taking Starflyer 59 on tour. Per usual, Martin will be bringing with a band of amiable touring musicians to help woo your aching soul. Take it outside:
