Mos Def Cancels Tour

Mos Def, star of such HBO specials as "Something the Lord Made" and the forthcoming nerdfest "The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy", could be letting this whole "acting" thing get out of hand. According to SOHH.com, Mos recently canceled his entire upcoming North American tour, which included many college stops, citing a "conflicting movie contract."

Mos' "Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy" opens in theaters on April 29, and he has already signed on for "The Italian Job II"-- which, FYI, is still under the working title "The Sequel Nobody Asked For".

The aforementioned tour, still in quasi-support of Mos' 2004 The New Danger, included a scheduled appearance with the Pharcyde at several venues, including one at Brandeis University, which had already sold 1,600 tickets on campus at the time of the cancellation.
