Prefuse 73 Kicks Off Worldwide Tour

Just a friendly reminder for all you (mostly) instrumental hip-hop enthusiasts-- Prefuse 73 is back on the road promoting his latest full-length album, Surrounded by Silence, released late last month via Warp. Scott Herren, aka experimental hip-hop producer who performs under the aliases Prefuse 73, Savath & Savalas, and Delarosa & Asora, kicked off the first two shows in Asia on the right foot, according to the official Prefuse 73 site: "Big love Japan! Damn Tokyo! Sold out? For Battles, Beans, and Prefuse? I hope we did our thing for you." We hope so, too.

Herren will continue on through Europe, hitting up All Tomorrow's Parties and several other festivals in France and Austria before arriving in North America to play 25 dates. Big love America! Places and times:
