More Acts Announced for Coachella

Coachella: The music festival that sounds like heaven but looks like Jonestown. But really, sweating face down under a shade tent has never been so worth it. The newest additions to Coachella, which is less than two weeks away, were announced last week, so if you're still not prepared to come out of pocket for tickets, keep in mind that U.N.K.L.E., Pinback, Ben Watt, the Locust, Nic Armstrong and the Thieves, Gratitude, and Midlack have all signed up for the two-day festival, in addition to previously announced attendees like New Order, Weezer, Wilco, Gang of Four, Bauhaus, Arcade Fire, Fiery Furnaces, and Bright Eyes. Tickets are still available for one or two-day passes, and at $150 for the two-day pass, you could theoretically see all the bands for about a buck-eighty each if you're a fast walker. Or Schršdinger's cat.

Also, a friendly Pitchfork warning for first time festival guests: The normally-genteel world of indie rock, while still impeccably polite, gets very hot and dirty at Coachella, which for some reason is held in the fucking desert. Be prepared, as this reporter wasn't, to compete with 200,000 people for food, water, shade, and tampons. That said, here's the complete lineup of bands:
