Pitchfork: Epoxies Prepare LP, Tour

Although the late Exploding Hearts were perhaps the best and brightest of the Pacific Northwest power-pop-punk cabal, that scene's effervescent dayglo buzz keeps building even in their absence. Witness the Epoxies, a Portland quintet with noms du blank like Shock Diode and FM Static. Fronted by android pinup Roxy Epoxy, their catchy, winning self-titled 2002 debut on Dirtnap took the campy B-movie pop of the Rezillos and juiced it with synth blurts to charming effect, followed by endless tours in spectacular duct-tape stage outfits (we're so totally not making this shit up). Now, their official site tells us that Stop the Future, the second Epoxies album, is in the Fat Wreck Chords (get it?) pipeline for a May 21 release. With songs:
