Pitchfork: Wilco Add Dates, Film Shows

Just as they're set to play a four-night homestand in Chicago, Wilco have added dates to their summer tour-- which begins in June. Those shows, at the Vic Theatre, will be filmed for an upcoming live CD/DVD project. The shows, which have no opener and are being called, "An Evening With Wilco", sold out almost immediately, as Wilco concerts are prone to do in Chicago.

A message on Wilco's website provides this warning: "Please note: For this week's Vic shows, there is no smoking allowed in the theatre. Also, photography, video, and/or audio recording are not allowed. So leave the cameras and microphones and smokes at home. Thanks...and see you there."

That's some serious business. For a more laid-back evening, if you will, Wilco will be touring North America throughout June. Following an appearance at the Sasquatch! Festival on May 28, Wilco hit the road, starting in Berkeley, Calif., and work their way east over the course of a few weeks. Some highlights include a show at Red Rocks in Colorado with the Roots, a spot at the Wakarusa Festival in Kansas, and three nights with My Morning Jacket-- in Michigan, Philly, and Boston.
