Bloc Party Kick Off Massive World Tour

Word of mouth. Arguably the best way for a band to become successful, short of selling out. Bands do this by touring-- extensively. Bloc Party? They know this. Spring, summer, and fall. On four continents (North America, Europe, Australia, Asia). Cities you can't even pronounce (Grafenhainichen). Intimate club dates. Enormous summer festivals. Almost anywhere they can share their talents.

Bloc Party's world tour begins tonight in Denver. They will play throughout the U.S. until late June, plus a stop in Mexico City. From there, they will fly home to the UK and play Glastonbury, followed by several weeks of stops at almost every major European festival. From there, they head to Australia for a few shows. After a short break, it's on to Japan for the SummerSonic festival. Following Leeds and Reading, the band will take some time off before touring throughout October in the UK.
