Rachid Taha to Tour

Rachid Taha was born in Algeria, but his revolutionist attitude didn't exactly fit too well at home-- or anywhere for that matter. A young Rachid found influence in punk music but never lost interest in his culture-- even after immigrating to France. The end result is a blend of Arabic-spoken punk and dance anthems built around Eastern melodies and instrumention.

With four releases under his belt, all reflecting his Arabic roots, Rachid will tour North America in support of his latest, Tékitoi, along with the following cast of acculturated members; Abdelouab Abrit, Yves Aouizerate, Noel Delfin, Idris Badarou, Hakim Hamadouche, and Rachid Belgacem.
