CocoRosie Announce Second Album, Summer Tour

French group CocoRosie rode the mini-movement's second burst of success with their 2004 debut La Mansion de Mon Reve, an engaging display of hushed folk and lo-fi electronics. Touring with Devendra Banhart and Bright Eyes, and garnering a hefty amount of critical acclaim must have done wonders for sisters Bianca and Sierra Cassidy, as they didn't wait long to finish a second album, Noah's Ark.

Composed and recorded in 2004 in, among other places, a barn in France, a studio in Paris, and various hotel rooms, the new record features guest work from both Banhart and the luminous frontangel of Antony and the Johnsons. Set for a September 12 release via Touch & Go, the album will be preceded by an August 1 single for the record's title track. The full listing:
