DFA 1979 to Cover Bloc Party

Is there no end to Bloc Party's (admittedly justified) megalomania? It seems that critical acclaim, a sweet spot at Coachella, and a massive American and European tour aren't enough. Nor was starting their own online fanzine (so fans can talk about 1) Bloc Party, 2) How much they like Bloc Party, 3) Their experiences of/with/around Bloc Party, and 4) Kele). No, now the band are personally soliciting covers from fellow buzz bands; Death From Above 1979 have stepped in with their own version of "Luno", a tune Kele Okereke specfically requested the duo tackle. The track will appear as a B-side to DFA 1979's "Black History Month" single, out June 13. The single will also feature a remix of "Black History Month" by Sammy Danger of Domino Records newcomers Test-Icicles. DFA 1979 also have a world-crossing tour planned; the dates:

Bloc Party are not above doing covers themselves; according to MTV.com, the band will contribute a version of "To Hell with Poverty" to a Gang of Four covers compilation, tentatively titled The Embarrassment of Paleface.
