Digable Planets to Tour, Play Jam Cruise

Leaving their fans worried and confused, Ladybug, Doodlebug, and Butterfly-- collectively known as the Digable Planets-- parted ways for no tangible reason. Fans were left to dry on rumors of creative differences, gender issues, and ego tragedies...but the Planets just needed some room to breathe, some time apart from each other, and a moment to consider what was important in their lives.

After all this time, the Digable Planets crew have bounced back, ready to drop their sultry and atypical hip-hop beats into the game. Despite various solo efforts such as Butterfly's Cherrywine, Doodlebug's work as Cee Knowledge, and Ladybug's forthcoming solo debut-- these newly inspired Planets are ready to hit the scene as mature as ever.

According to an interview with MTV, Ladybug illustrated their relationship as compared to a high school girlfriend that you never thought would change, "Five years later you run into each other and it's all good? That's why we broke up, it's all growing."

Reuniting for a couple weeks in Europe, the collective appeared Stateside for three shows underneath a much enthusiastic welcoming over the first couple months of 2005. Now, working on their third release, the Digable Planets prepare for some North American dates this summer. With increasing anticipation, plans for 2006 are also in the works aboard Jam Cruise-- a weeklong neo-hippie music festival sailing through the Caribbean; just remember to bring the granola and hula hoops.
