Enon and Thunderbirds Are Now! to Tour Together

Not every band tours in support of their singles/B-sides/rarities compilations, but then, most bands have discorporated by the time they put one out, and most bands' round-up discs aren't nearly as hot as Enon's Lost Marbles and Exploded Evidence. So let one exception follow the other-- fuck it all, Enon's going on tour. The roadshow will last for most of June, ending, like so many other epic journeys, in Akron.

To top things off, Enon will be joined for the duration by Detroit's Thunderbirds Are Now! and Sparrow, the latter band including members of Zumpano who did not join the New Pornographers (Jason Zumpano himself included). And in case you haven't checked French Kiss Records' website in a while, Thunderbirds Are Now! are already on the road to support their well-recieved Justamustache. The Detroit quartet also have an EP in the can which will be released widely through their original label Action Driver on May 24. The EP, entitled Neck, will contain three songs of new material, plus remixes of "Bodies Adjust" and "Pink Motorcycle Helmet". Oh, and they felt compelled to include a Viking funeral hymn in there. too:

Thunderbirds Are Now! will continue crawling down the Eastern seaboard on their own for another two weeks, followed by a fortnight off before they hook up with Enon and, well, we already explained what will happen from there. Dates:
