Common to Tour With John Legend, De La Soul

With Be having just hit stores, Common is promoting the absolute shit out of it. For the next week or so he'll be in record shops on the East Coast signing copies of the new album and just generally spreading good, soulful vibes. I've never met the man but I imagine he's probably like the sagest dude you've ever seen, so maybe actually buy a copy of the new record (it's good) since he can't sign your hard drive. Com's just about to do a short headlining tour, with a few hometown shows in Chicago, to supplement the in-stores before heading out on a larger summer tour. As previously reported, he's also taking part in the Music Midtown Festival in Atlanta on June 11. Solo dates:

05-27 Richmond, VA - Kanawha Plaza
06-01 Chicago, IL - House of Blues (Early/Late shows)
06-02 Chicago, IL - House of Blues
06-06 West Hollywood, CA - House of Blues
06-07 Anaheim, CA - House of Blues
06-08 San Diego, CA - House of Blues

Okay, but we're not done yet, because this is like a double-edged news story. See, it turns out that John Legend is going to be setting out on his first major headlining tour of the U.S. and he's bringing De La Soul, Rahzel, and Common along for part of the ride. With Legend's album selling quite well, he's not fucking around: more than two months of shows, and he's headlining the entire thing. Common's even opening for him in Chicago! Blasphemy:
