New Single, Tour Dates Coming From Bright Eyes

Coinciding with a summer tour in support of the electro-tinged Digital Ash in a Digital Urn, Bright Eyes have just announced the release of the album's second CD single, "Easy/Lucky/Free". The disc is the follow-up to Digital Ash's first single "Take It Easy (Love Nothing)", which made headlines this past January when it debuted alongside the "Lua" single at the top of the Billboard charts. "Easy/Lucky/Free"will be available on CD, 7", and DVD.

As previously reported, the Conor Oberst Experience's lengthy Digital Ash in a Digital Urn tour kicked off recently and will cross the U.S. and Europe through mid-July. The trek includes a five-night stint at New York City's Webster Hall, during which the outfit will also drop by "Late Night With Conan O'Brien" for a May 24 performance. A handful of festival appearances have also been announced, including the UK bash T In The Park, as well as the Dunkin' Donuts-sponsored Newport Folk Festival in early August. With the exception of the festival dates, all shows will include support from the Faint. Dates:

And finally, the mop-topped Oberst recently put his smashed guitar from the group's previous tour up for auction on eBay. Proceeds from selling the autographed, splintered instrument will go towards the Children's Organ Transplant Organization (COTA), who are raising money toward a life-saving double lung transplant for Nebraska native Jason Woods.
