Futureheads, Kasabian Head British Fest

Humble UK minstrels Kasabian are slated to headline the Jersey Live Festival, just another summer fest you won't be able to get to. It takes place on the English Channel Island on September 3. Joining Kasabian on the Positiv Main Stage will be fellow new-new wave revivalists the Bravery, the Futureheads, the Ordinary Boys, and the Black Velvets. For those who just can't get down to this guitar shit, Jersey Live will put aside a dance area that will see 2 Many DJs spinning, among others.

Kasabian, in addition to touring all summer, will be keeping busy on the Festival circuit. Besides Jersey Live, they've scheduled stops at the Carling Weekend Festival in Reading, the O2 Music Wireless Festival in London, T in the Park Festival in Kinross, Scotland, and the Summersonic Festival in Osaka and Tokyo. Here's hoping this go-round in the UK goes better for Kasabian than their last one. During an April 22 show at Glasgow's Carling Academy, guitarist Serge Pizzorno was cracked upside the head by a bottle flung from an audience member. How dare he?
