Longwave Finish Third Album

New York shoegazers Longwave, a personal fave of the Strokes, are prepping for an abbreviated tour in support of their forthcoming LP, flagrantly entitled There's a Fire. (Uh, did we mention that they know the Strokes?) This will be the first official release from the group since 2004's largely unnoticed Life of the Party EP, as well as the first since founding members Dave Marchese and Mike James left the band. According to MTV.com, drummer Nic Brown and bassist Christian Bongers have stepped in as temps to finish off the record, working with producer John Leckie. There's a Fire has been tagged with a June 28 release date via Red Ink. Its contents:

01 There's a Fire
02 Underworld Song
03 River (Depot Song)
