Marjorie Fair Debut on the Way

Marjorie Fair will release their debut album, Self Help Serenade on Capitol Records on July 19. The album has been sitting in purgatory for three years, as the recording started back in 2002. All but one of the record's 12 tracks were produced by Rob Schnapf, who has also worked with Beck and the Vines, and helped complete Elliott Smith's From a Basement on a Hill.

Just so you're going into this thing with the right expectations, we should mention that 'Marjorie Fair' is a variety of rose, not a band member or old flame. The four gentlemen in the band play a very Brit-friendly variety of sad guitar rock and have, in fact, received positive reviews from The Independent, NME, Mojo, and, you know, that kind of thing. Tracklist:

01 Don't Believe
