New Blackalicious Album in September

Ready? Begin: According to assorted accomplices of amiable and atrocious attitudes alike, barn-burning beatmasters Blackalicious have carefully crafted and concocted a creative new cut. The disc is derived from devilishly delving into equal effervescence and enormously furious, fabulous, fantastic...ff...um...Florida.. fffuck, that "Alphabet Aerobics" thing is hard. Better leave it to the pros.

Chief Xcel and Gift of Gab, together known as Blackalicious, are getting set to release their third full-length studio album The Craft, due September 27. One of the Bay Area's most dynamic and inventive hip-hop acts, Blackalicious promises good things for their first collection of new material since 2002's brilliant Blazing Arrow.

Lead single "Powers" has already been announced (and described as "Prince-ly"); another track, "Rhythm Sticks", will be released as a 12" this summer. A tour? Yep, on the calendar for this fall. The Craft tracklist:

01 The World of Vibration [ft. Ledisi]
02 Supreme People
03 Rhythm Sticks
04 Powers
05 Lotus Flower [ft. George Clinton]
06 My Pad and Pen
