Pitchfork: Babyshambles to Release Second Single

Ah, another juicy update on a hot British band. You vultures love to read stories about the bar brawls and stage invasions, about the blackmail and robbery, the prison sentences, and the smack addictions, don't you? Well, we love them too, but unfortunately for us ogres, concrete news of a new Babyshambles single has been reported by the NME, so that's what you're getting.

Ex-Libertine Pete Doherty's new band, Babyshambles, will release "Fuck Forever" on July 25 and are expected to include it on the still-untitled debut album due shortly afterward. The quartet have been holed up at studios in Wales and London with producers Bill Price and the Clash's Mick Jones finishing the last few selections for the record, which reportedly will contain 10-12 tracks, including top-ten debut single "Killamangiro".

Babyshambles will appear as special guests with Oasis on two dates during their forthcoming UK stadium tour: July 6 at the Southampton Rose Bowl, and July 9 at London's Milton Keynes Bowl. A dozen other festival appearances are scheduled for the near future; hopefully Doherty's penchant for missing shows and relapsing into drug use will subside long enough for his adoring fans to catch a rare glimpse of the man playing in a group setting. The rest of us will have to wait for Justin Hawkins to menace someone with a flowerpot so we can get our gossip fix. Those tour dates:
