Depeche Mode Schedule Extensive 2006 Tour Dates

Depeche Mode haven't said much about their recording plans since we reported that they were working on a new album, although their website does now reveal the complex and fascinating fact that the record will probably have 12 songs. What they lack in news on that front, though, they have made up in concert announcements, which are now spewing forth from the veteran synth-pop band like candy from a pinata.

Depeche Mode's upcoming world tour will be the band's first in roughly five years, starting with six weeks in the U.S. and Canada shortly after the untitled new album's projected autumn release date and continuing around Europe for at least the first three months of 2006. There's a catch, though, for stateside fans: The band have released a list of American cities, but they don't have dates attached yet. Keep reading Pitchfork to learn those dates when they're revealed, or, heck, just pick a concert venue and camp out in front for the next five months. You might get lucky!
