Kill Rock Stars Issues Details of Video Compilation

Recent reports confirming the signing of Pink/Christina Aguilera songwriter Linda Perry to the usually dependable Kill Rock Stars stable left many wondering if the Olympia, Wash.-based honchos of hip had jumped into Budd Inlet with a bad case of the vapors. It is thus with narrowed eyes and suspicious minds that we approach the next KRS Video Fanzine, coming on July 12.

This, the third such collection, will contain all the familiar Kill Rock Stars and sister label 5 Rue Christine (5RC) faces: a large assortment of videos from old standbys like Deerhoof, Sleater-Kinney, and Unwound; new picks from the Decemberists, Mae Shi, and pAper chAse; short films, live appearances, spoken-word pieces, and unreleased leftovers. While the past two Fanzines were released in the archaic age of VHS, this one is being issued on DVD, which we gather has something to do with those "computers" you kids always talk about. Whether this is all enough to make us forget that Linda Perry used to be in 4 Non Blondes remains to be seen. But you know us-- say "Xiu Xiu" and all is forgiven. Video tracklist:
