Pitchfork: Pit Er Pat, Need New Body on Tour

If it seems like Pit er Pat is grooving with a labored step, that's just the Chicago-based trio's debut LP weighing heavy under their belt. Following the departure of their original singer (before they'd made any recordings), bassist Rob Doran and keyboard player Fay Davis-Jeffers picked up the vocal duties, and in the wake of their debut record Shakey, the band has announced another landmark: their first large-scale tour outside of their usual environs. The trip will feature a packed month's worth of dates covering most of the States from mid-July to mid-August. We're not sure how well their shifting, polyrhythmic brand of post-rock will go down in a place like Fargo's Moose Lodge, but maybe that's why they're touring with Philadelphia's favorite weirdos Need New Body...it's unclear how much good Need New Body would be in a bar fight, but their website sure is fucked up. Come on, that has to count for something. Here are the dates:
