The Intonation Music Festival Survival Guide

Advance ticket sales are now over, slacker. If you want to come to the festival, you will have to buy your tickets on site before entry. The box office opens at 10:30 a.m. each day, and the grounds will open at noon. And now, without further ado, here is Pitchfork's Ultimate Intonation Music Festival Survival Guide:

>>WATER
Each festival guest will be allowed to bring TWO SEALED BOTTLES of water. Additionally, vendors will be selling water at the price of $1 per half-liter on the grounds, and the Chicago Park District has promised to provide water stations throughout the park. It's summer, it's Chicago-- it will be hot. Please keep yourself hydrated. Believe it or not, beer is not hydrating.

>>BACKPACKS
You can bring small backpacks and purses if you wish, but no large bags or coolers (hard or soft). No contraband. The following will not be allowed to be brought inside: alcoholic beverages of any kind, food and beverage of any kind (except TWO SEALED BOTTLES of water), recording devices, professional cameras, video equipment, lounge and elevated chairs (collapsing folding chairs are okay), laser pointers, drugs, lightsabers, and/or boomboxes. Once on the grounds, please stay on the grounds until you are ready to leave; there will be no re-entry.

>>CAMERAS
You can bring your personal film or digital camera to take pictures and remember how awesome the festival was. But you cannot bring professional equipment. Stay out, paparazzi-- Broken Social Scene are less controversial and gossipy than they sound, anyway.

>>ZOMBIES
Watch out for these: They will continue to pursue you and your tasty flesh until you have destroyed their brains. Hopefully this won't be a problem this year.

>>FUN
Have it.
