Pitchfork: Fischerspooner Expand Summer Tour

They met at art school. That's all you really need to say about Warren Fischer and Casey Spooner, who, it's fair to say, did the democratic thing and went alphabetical in naming their avant-garde electro-art-pop project, Fischerspooner. Their style is strange and maybe a little untouchable, but they're a live-act act. Go see them.

The duo fell off the radar briefly, LP-wise, but are back with a long-play entitled Odyssey, whose latest single, "Never Win", is slated for an August 2 release and sports remixes from such awesomes as TV On the Radio and Mirwais; though there's a 7" picture disc and a 12" vinyl available, all the U.S. is getting is a digital CD. So don't ask.

Warren and Casey have also added a European tour date the the slew we provided in April; this one's at London's Astoria. But the best little tidbit of Fischerspooner news off the Pitchfork Media wires (read: the duo's official website) is Manumission, a big sexy free-for-all that lasts a month in late summer in Ibiza, Spain (yeah, you've seen E!'s "Wild On", you know what we're getting at here). Fischerspooner and their excellent live-act act are putting down roots at Privilege for this self-described blend of "stage shows, erotica, strip tease and live music". Finally! Let's get naked!:
