Pitchfork: Nada Surf Schedule North American Tour

Indie veterans and one-hit-wonder stigma-bearers Nada Surf are prepping for a North American tour in support of their forthcoming LP, the Chris Walla-produced The Weight Is a Gift.

Creators of four albums in 10 years, the trio of Matthew Caws, Daniel Lorca and Ira Elliot will release their follow-up to 2003's Let Go September 13 on Barsuk Records. It was recorded at John Vanderslice's Tiny Telephone studios in San Francisco and at Walla's Hall of Justice in Seattle (Walla, incidentally, also appears on the album). The tour kicks off with a mid-Atlantic swing. Brooklyn's Say Hi to Your Mom will open up on, well, every date but one. Figure that one out. Dates:
