Hard-Fi Release U.S. Single, Continue Tour

With all these redcoats running around lately, it's like the Battle of Yorktown never happened. "Cash Machine" is the debut single from Necessary/Atlantic's newest signee, Hard-Fi, out in stores this week. We hear that some excitable sorts call Hard-Fi's vaguely Clashlike dance-punk-dub blend "diska," but we'll pass in the hope that that term dies a quick, quiet death. Whatever you call their sound, it's happenin' enough to earn Hard-Fi Single of the Week honors from the NME for "Cash Machine", along with a #6 UK album chart placing for their debut full-length, Stars of CCTV, in its first week of release. Why, it's almost as popular as that Beverly Hills Cop ringtone!

No U.S. release date has yet been announced for the album, but Hard-Fi are currently in the midst of a string of medium-to-high-profile North American tour dates:
