Four Tet to Tour With Explosions in the Sky

Explosions in the Sky, for their part, have mostly been keeping a cloak & dagger profile in 2005...Primarily because they've been working on their next album, of which their website (updated last month) says: "We plan on putting a new record out sometime in 2006, but, as some of you know, our plans often change." At the beginning of the year, the band recorded 8 tracks for an EP entitled The Rescue which will be issued as a part of Temporary Residence's subscription-based Travels in Constants series, and is still expected to be released sometime late summer/early fall, according to an interview with guitarist Mark T. Smith posted on Somewherecold.com.

Finally, Explosions in the Sky's debut LP How Strange, Innocence, which was originally released in 2000 as a scant edition of 300, will be reissued by Temprorary Residence on October 11. Momentum mounts like the upside to one of their patented crescendos, and their tour dates at the bottom of Four Tet's insane schedule seem like only the beginning:
